I'm going to say this as if we were chatting in the shop.
I've been in retail for 28 years now, selling everything from clothing,
food to High-end Apple Computers.
5 years of my career was in UK Charity and the last 4 years have been in
my own business selling t-shirts in beautiful Llangollen Wales.
I love that I have the opportunity to create a completely unique eco shopping experience, that solves a lot of problems for cyclists.
I can save them a lot of money, give them a lot of choice,
somewhere to try the kit on first,
and try out loads of different brands they haven't had before.
I've found, of all the customer bases I've worked with in my career,
road cyclists are by far the best.
Friendly, upbeat and really supportive.
And lets face it, it takes a lot of confidence to wear lycra,
get on your bike and just do it
You guys are legends.
All our products are either traded in, bought as job lots or sourced from UK based vintage wholesalers.
I prefer to do trade ins, instead of donations, because I'm a business, not a charity.
I have donation pots beside my shop counter, if you like I can give you the monetry value of trade ins and it can go in the donation pot. Easy :]
We get loads brought in from cyclists all around the area - they just get it.
See what I mean about great customers?
Absolutely not.
All items are as they arrive.
All used and pre worn
by other cyclists.
We never know
what's coming next.
That makes it so much
more interesting.
Absolutely.
We have an
easy returns process.
We believe in good old fashioned customer service,
you guys are everything.
All the kit is quality checked before being listed.
All in perfectly
usable condtion.
We're picky, but due to the volume and
needing to list quickly,
the odd mark may be missed.
If you're ever disappointed, just let us know & we'll get you sorted.
Absolutely.
Rest assured, we are very picky on cleanliness.
All garments are pre-washed twice before going on sale.
Particularly when we sell Bibs, Shorts and leggings in store.
Hygiene is paramount and no corners are cut.
Every single item is checked for wear n tear, marks and any other quality issues.
Because eew.
No grotty shorts on my watch :]
Absolutely.
All items are as they've arrived. We have over 250 brands of kit coming in .
Everything from Castelli to the more modern brands on Amazon & eBay.
I've gone through and researched the lot. Took me about 17 centuries but I got there :]
See the photos and bullet points for details on each individual item.
All items with no actual tag
will be bullet pointed
as 'no visible tag'
If you have reservations about a particular jersey
just let me know
I'll take it down and destroy it.
We never manufacture anything, all is pre worn kit being
saved from going to waste.
I've literally
So. Here's the bit I feel the most proud of.
Since specialising in jerseys, we've recycled and rehomed over 4000 jerseys and bibs.
We've stopped all plastic packaging and dropped our wastage by a massive amount.
We barely fill our bin anymore.
In the past when I was selling
t-shirts I'd cringe at all the packaging , so completely pointless.
This is entirely Eco too.
I've found awesome uk suppliers for 100% biodegradable packaging.
Our shop carry bags, all our courier parcels and also our courier boxes.
Even the packaging tape.
I'm human, I'm not perfect but I'm really making an effort to make a difference.
Well Yes and actually No.
Why?
The main reason for the shop is stopping as many garments from going to waste because of sheer volume.
Personally for me, vintage is cherry picking the rare stuff, while the rest still goes elsewhere.
We absolutely do get a load of vintage classics, but the focus is on bulk everyday - get people riding bikes, and save everyone money in the cost of living crisis.
And always maintain a friendly casual environment , it's more fun that way.
Absolutely.
The easiest way is to choose the click and collect option when purchasing online.
Literally choose from the range on your phone, do a ride by the shop and try it in the changing room.
We post home free, saves you carrying on the bike.
We have a post box right outside, it take like 3 seconds.
No worries at all.
In a lot of ways yes,
You can browse the whole range merchandised
by chest measurement.
Because as you know, kit either fits...or it doesn't.
You can touch , feel n try any kit you want to.
We're not like big chains that ignore customers or give you grief for trying lots of stuff - just go for it, do your thing.
And also,
In store there'll be lots of bargain stock, Shorts, Bibs and leggings that won't always get listed fast enough.
YES PLEASE
That would be legendary.
Drop it off, send it in , whatever is easiest for you.
I do trade ins just like a record shop, a fair price as agreed with the customer and paid while they wait.
I now also trade in books and other cycling related items.
SORRY no helmets, health and safety items, bikes or parts.
We are located in Llangollen, Wales.
Right in the centre of town overlooking the Llangollen Railway station.
Come have a look at our vast range of road cycling kit, all at bargain pricing.
You have to see it to believe it.
Over 100 brands of kit, all at random, new items being traded in daily. We've seen brands like Rapha, Castelli,
Muddy Fox, Stolen Goat, Ale',
Nalini and many more.
All one sport - Road Cycling.
And yes, people just love it.
We're a very unique shop, where you can stop by on your bike , browse,
try it on and buy.
We're happy to post it home too.
No need to carry it home on your bike.
Looking forward to seeing you in store.
